We woke up Christmas morning and…left for our first foreign student outing! We all eventually gathered and took a bus to the other side of the Yangtze River to climb Mo Ji Shan mountain. The day was cold and rainy – perfect for mountain climbing. Thankfully, the Korean students said they were afraid of the mountain since the fog was so thick we couldn’t see it.
After walking for a bit, we found a restaurant with local homestyle cooking. We ate a delicious lunch. So delicous that we skipped supper and ate mint Oreos instead.
Eventually, we made it home. Christmas came quickly this year. No time to find Shorel that perfect gift…though he did manage to get me a beautiful necklace.
We held our Christmas tree (only 12 inches tall) and took a photo. Merry Christmas from Yichang!
