On Wednesday, our adoption agency received our I-171H. We are so thankful it did not get lost in the mail!

Also on Wednesday, The Assistant Stork received our documents and said that they all looked good. Even as we type, all our documents are getting their final approval at the Chinese Embassy.

For the past four months we’ve been getting our application ready.  Soon, it will be sent to the China Center for Adoption Affairs (CCAA) for processing. CCAA is the government agency which matches parents and children. Bridge of Love Adoption Service (BLAS) will be translating our dossier. I wanted to translate it ourselves, but Hubs said no.

We’ve also received information on how to wire money to CCAA and BLAS. Apparently this will be two separate wires and we’re trying to figure out how to send that money without having to set up an account in each bank. We use Bank of China. CCAA uses Bank of Construction. BLAS uses Bank of Communication. We might just have three bank accounts by the end of this.

One step further…
