MONDAY
Yesterday, our adoption agency received all of our finalized documents from The Assistant Stork.
Yeah!
Our agency said a that our papers were in great order.
Yeah! Yeah!
In fact, they had time the same day to get the entire dossier completed and ready to FedEx on December 21st!
Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!
Yet this date is even more special to our family because all along the way, we’ve been asking for confirmation that this is the path our family should take. It is NO COINCIDENCE that we began this process on Shorel’s birthday and just yesterday the entire dossier was completed on my birthday. We’re giving thanks for this indescribable gift!
If all goes as planned, CCAA should receive our dossier on Monday, December 24th. And then we will wait for our Log In Date (LID). Once we have the LID, we officially begin the waiting period for our daughter.
TUESDAY
Today, we recieved a letter from the Guangzhou Consulate saying they had received the I-171H Approval to Adopt from the Beijing Embassy.
They also said that now we wait until we receive the referral letter – literally “the match” with our daughter’s pictures inside from CCAA. Once we accept the match, CCAA will send a Travel Permission letter which means we can go get her. After all this is taken care of, we can schedule our interview with the Guangzhou Consulate who will give our daughter her US visa so she can enter Hawaii and be naturalized as a US Citizen.
So: LID, waiting, waiting, waiting, Referral Letter, waiting, Travel Permission, appointment with the Consulate…
Are you starting to see a theme?
And so we wait.

Exciting news!
And happy belated birthday! I can’t ever seem to remember in time. : (
How exciting!!! And how neat that both ends were on your birthdays! That is very special!
Will you have to take her to hawaii to have her be a citizen? Oh – how lucky if that is true. I wish we could meet you there!
Hope the time flys by quickly till she comes!
