On Saturday morning, before the flannels were shed and the polartecs dawned, Zhou and Zhang beckoned our door. They came to see about the mysterious leak in our bathroom.

Schäfer and I went outside for 3 hours while Zhou and Zhang jackhammered into three separate spots in search of the mysterious leak. At noon, they went home for lunch leaving behind a maelstrom of destruction.

Schäfer and I returned home to find the entire house covered in a thick layer of grey dust. That would include the Christmas tree!

Thankfully, Zhou and Zhang returned promptly at at 1pm to continue in their search. I say thankfully because generally China takes a two and a half hour rest in the winter. Yes, I do mean China as in the entire country.

So from 1-6pm Schäfer and I went for a nice long walk. We came home to even more dust.

The leak was solved and new tiles were installed. Hummm…our landlord selected the new tiles. I’m trying to think of them as Romanesque.

I love the “it’s ok” on the mirror. Was that from Shorel or were you reminding yourself???
Oh girl, I was trying to remind myself! It took us 3 days of serious cleaning to get all of the dust out of the house.
OH MY Sandra. that’s some serious dust. I’m so sorry! But at least they fixed it! And all in one day, that’s a plus, right? . . . I’ll try to think Romanesque for you, too.
