On 6/14, we went on a beautiful hike with friends to a local bamboo canyon. Locals say this canyon has fourteen varieties of bamboo. I’m not sure I saw 14 varieties (or even 2 for that matter) but it was a refreshing time.
Bamboo.

These beverages and cucumbers were chilled with river water. In China, cucumbers are munched on much like we would eat an apple.
A local vendor offers Schäfer a spicy potato.
Schäfer was so excited to see this little horse.
At the end of the hike, was a beautiful waterfall.

Schäfer was happy to get out of the Ergo and spend some time throwing rocks into the water.
Once Papa touched the horse, Schäfer was nervous, but willing.
