6pm
Hubs: You won’t believe what we forgot!
Me: What?
Hubs: We haven’t bought electricity!
Me: How much do we have left?
Hubs: 4 units. It’s Frontier living tonight. I’ve already turned off the water heater.
8pm
Hubs: If we were living on the frontier, I would be reading by candlelight and you would be blogging by smoke signal.

What a blessing–congratulations–that’s wonderful!
Hee hee–I laughed at S’s comment about reading/blogging.
LOL – so I’m curious how your energy works there? You buy it in advance? How much does it cost per kwh?
Hi Michele – We buy electricity in advance. We watch our own meter. When it is running low, we take a card to the electricity office and buy some more. It is .57rmb per kwh = 8.2 cents per kwh. Electricity here is not cheap.
