I’m a big fan of noodles and in China – they do noodles right.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 lb. green beans, chopped in 1/2 inch pieces
- 1 lb bean sprouts
- 2 lbs. fresh noodles
- 1/2 lb bacon
- 1 1/2 lbs lean pork, sliced
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped ginger
- 1 tablespoon broken cinnamon sticks
- 2 whole pieces of star-spice, broken up
- 1 teaspoon red pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon chicken broth powder
DIRECTIONS
- Cook bacon on medium heat until well done. Leave grease in pan. Add the pork loin, star-spice, cinnamon and ginger. Cook until meat is well done.
- Add soy sauce, hot pepper, salt and chicken broth powder.
- Add vegetables and cook until green beans are a bright green.
- Place the noodles on top, turn the heat to low and cover. After a few minutes, toss the noodles a little.
- After 5 minutes, stir the noodles, meat and vegetables together. Cook, until the noodles are slightly crisp.

Chopping the meat. Note that we prefer to use bacon rather than fat. Cook the meat on medium heat until well done.

Add vegetables to the cooked meat.

Tossing the fresh noodles. If you buy dry noodles, you’ll need to boil them for a few minutes first.
