FRIDAY
On Friday, we got our shopping ON at the JCPenny Outlet. I’m talking about flannel shirts in a size Tall for $6.99. Why that’s Hubs love language!
After some yummy Chick-fil-A, we got Schäfer bathed and in bed. Then, it was time for a late night Wal-Mart excursion.
People, Halloween isn’t even over & the Christmas decorations are out. I’d like to say that I was completely appalled and avoided those 7 aisles as a sign of personal protest, but I didn’t.
Don’t you know that we went and looked at every single thing…because that’s what sister’s do on a midnight diaper run to Wal-Mart.
Warning: do not buy these diapers. Oh, you’ll be lured in by the cheap price, but they leak!
SATURDAY
We planned on going to Boo at the Zoo, but due to rain we spent the morning at home. After nap time, we headed down to our favorite shopping place: Goodwill!
Sister read to Schäfer while I shopped till I dropped. Watch for a future post on all my Goodwill finds.
We had supper at Chick-fil-A. I know! Two nights in a row. I guess I’m allowed since I haven’t eaten there in years. (There is no Chick-fil-A in China or San Francisco.)
As you can tell by the photo, Schäfer loves to dip…anything. My sister was all about letting him try various sauces. Speaking of, the “Chick-fil-A sauce” is incredible. It’s a fusion of BBQ and honey mustard. Yum.
Once we got home and put Schäfer to bed, we realized we were out of wipes. Yep, it was time for another midnight trip to Wal-Mart. Thank goodness Wal-Mart was just 6 minutes away.
We stayed up past 2am organizing her scrapbook with QVC in the background. QCV makes me laugh so hard. They can take anything and make you think you NEED to buy it & you must buy it NOW. It’s fun to watch them sell! sell! sell!
SUNDAY
My sister and her husband attend the same church that her ex-husband and his new wife attend. I asked my sister if this was crunchy and she said, “Well, if we’re all going to be in heaven together we might as well get along here on earth.” Now that’s some serious systematic theology.
That afternoon, we all took a long, long nap. It was much needed after all our late nights. Then, we spent some time organizing Sister’s attic. See, I told you my dream job was Life Coach.
Your sister sounds like someone I would like to be around – very practical!
