Wrappin’ It Up

Well, it’s time to start wrappin’ up all the loose ends. We leave to get on a plane in just 4 days.

Schäfer and I were holding down the fort while Hubs was in southern Idaho. To his delight, he ran into his friends from college: the Bortz family!

Howdy Daniel and Sara!

Meanwhile, it was Martin Luther King day so Trinity had the day off from school. She and Schäfer went on two long hikes through the woods. The snow has hardened and the temperature is now a balmy 28 degrees.

Schäfer continues to think that snow is a food group.

That evening, Katrina and I ended up taking Trinity to the doctor because she sprained her ankle in the house when kicking a balloon. Hubs was on his was home from the airport so he met us at the doctor’s office. It was great to have him home.

Once Schäfer was asleep, we spent most of the evening packing bags. The airlines are serious about their 50lb. weight limit so we’ll have to get creative with our carry-ons.
