Schäfer woke up this morning at 6am.
Seriously.
I could have slept for quite some time.
Oh, for a long, long time.
Hibernation is a good idea.
It was still raining this morning. We went to Mi Le’s house, but according to Nai Nai he was “out”. Ting can get really busy with her shop so I didn’t want to bother her with a call to see if they were nearby.
I tried to take Schäfer back to our apartment to read books or play with toys, but he asked if we could go to Jump Zone. I can’t blame him for a wanting a little change of pace. When we arrived, we were delighted to see Mi Le! The boys had a great time playing together.

By the afternoon, the rain had stopped and the frogs were croaking a sweet melody in the Lotus Pond.

Schäfer loves dogs, especially Han Han.

Jie Jie is currently raising two boxes of silk worms (for fun). Her Mom offered to give some to Schäfer. I need to do a little internet research before committing to take care of these small creatures. Anybody have any silk worm raising tips?

Schäfer and Zi Hai found some nice sticks to go “fishing” in the Lotus Pond.

For a few weeks now, on Friday evenings, we’ve been going over to the bubble tea shop for a bubble tea. I’ve limited my bubble teas to one per week so this is a fun treat.
Our evening was pretty normal. I’ve been wanting to make Friday nights our Family Fun Night. Any ideas of “family fun” to do with a 2-year-old?
Another problem I’m running into is that we play outside until almost 7pm because it’s so bright! By the time we get home, eat, and take a bath it’s almost 8:15pm. Previously, our little guy went to bed at 7:30pm, but that hasn’t happened since the sun decided to stay up a bit longer.
