Today marks month 22 in waiting for this adoption to take place.
We have 13 days until we must start the paperwork to transfer to another agency.
Please continue to ask that we receive our Miracle Match this week!
Previously I wrote by December 1, but in reality, we need to be matched within the next couple of weeks in order not to transfer to another agency.
We’ve also learned that as soon as we get the match, we have to write our child’s English name on the referral paperwork. Oh my word. We have NO name. Not one single name.
About 17 months ago we were often talking about names, but as the adoption dragged on, we took a break from that conversation. We decided that since the referral comes with a photo, then we would wait until that time to talk about names.
This week I had a great realization: I doubt I can make a decision regarding a name while jumping around the house in celebration of our match.
And I do plan on jumping around the house.
Indefinitely.
Praying for a name!!! It is such a BIG decision. I don’t think I ever realized how big of a decision it actually is until we named Elijah and for the first month, I kept second guessing myself. Of course, now I know it is the right name for him…but it is a BIG decision. Love you guys!
