Who needs to play with their own toys when Ge Ge is driving a boat around?

She’s so smitten with Schäfer.

After a long day of rain, we decided to go splash in some puddles and blow the Thomas whistle.

Schäfer loves to take his Dr. Seuss bag with him when we plan on going to the store. In China, you have to pay for plastic bags so we always bring our own. Schäfer considers this “his bag” to take to the store. Thanks Beth & Amy.

He blew his whistle non-stop. (As for the Longhorn outfit, that’s the risk with hand-me-downs.)

Little did I know that Schäfer wanted to point at people, blow the whistle and redirect him.

To be honest, being indoors with Schäfer all day was a challenge to my parenting skills. We both needed a long walk and a stop at the bakery. I told Schäfer he could get any treat he wanted. Of course, he selected the biggest pastry they had. (No, he could not finish it.)

While sitting in the cafe watching him munch away, I smiled and erased all the challenges from earlier in the day.  He really is such a sweet kid.

Sianna is totally starting to twist away from her play toys and get into other things. Today, Sianna made a circle by walking around on her hands during tummy time.

Snack time in the Bumbo. For the past couple of days, Sianna has been fussy and not interested in food. She’s constantly been chewing on her fingers and has started having some saliva. I keep checking for her 1st tooth, but haven’t found anything breaking through.

Schäfer talks to Hubs who is out of town. It’s amazing to me that Schäfer thinks it’s normal to call Papa on the computer for a video chat. I remember life before answering machines. ha!

This afternoon, we had a play date at our house. It was an interesting evening because the play date was arranged by another Mom who didn’t end up coming because her daughter took at “afternoon nap” at 5pm. Mi Le had a great time playing with the trains.

Schäfer and Zi Hai got out all the transportation.

Sianna is excellent at pushing herself backwards away from the toys.

A glimpse of Spring.

It’s been raining again so we’ve said goodbye to the warm 65 degree weather from last week and are back in the 30′s again.

Little Scoot Scoot.

Funny guy.

Aren’t they just the sweetest thing after nap time? So quiet and slightly fuzzy. (Sometimes, Schäfer likes a variety of snacks in the muffin pan: 1 cookie, raisins, 3 seaweed, 1 cracker, 3 gummies and some type of fruit.)
