Today marks One Month Together! I can’t believe how much Sianna has changed in just one month. When I put this purple onesie on Sianna, she started smiling and looking at her sleeves. It cracks me up that she notices what’s on her clothing.
The other day, I wrote my friend, Lynn, an e-mail. Our sons are weeks apart and her Maggie is one day older than my Sianna. In the e-mail, I expressed concern over the things Sianna isn’t yet doing. Lynn wrote back with the best advice ever, “Just enjoy her babyness.” So true.
What a sweet, snuggle girl I have. Before we know it, she’ll be crawling, then walking, then wanting the credit card and car keys.
For our one month anniversary, Sianna gave Schäfer the best present ever: she joined him for tub time.
He’s been wanting her to come play with him in the bath ever since the day they met. This evening, when I was running the bath water she started wiggling and smiling and flapping her arms. I figured if she didn’t like the water then she’d cry and I’d put her clothes back on.
She loved the water and Schäfer loved playing with her. They splashed so much I had to get the mop out!
Some memories from today:

Our neighbor came over to visit. She ended up staying all morning playing with Schäfer. They read books and got the train tracks out.

Schäfer blew his train whistle as Thomas chugged along.

After one month together, Sianna now:
- holds her head strong.
- grabs toys… or anything she can get her hands on.
- cries out for us during the night, but immediately goes back to sleep once we touch her.
- grazes on the bottle preferring 4 oz. at first and then another 2 oz. an hour later.
- likes her milk pipping hot.
- after 5pm, she basically just wants to ride around on my hip.
- squeals when she’s tossed in the air.
- still wears a shoe size 0-3 months.

This afternoon, we spent more time outside enjoying this fabulous 65 degree weather.

man, you guys are the best photographers! I hope you get your blog printed into books. That would be so sweet to keep.

Sandra, thank you for letting me in on your love affair! I've joined you! I just love you all and feel like I just need to drive to Mill Valley to have dinner and dessert (of course) with you all! Wish it were so.
I can’t believe how much Sianna has changed in only a month! Looks like she’s gained so much strength and awareness of what’s going on around her. Even sitting up! So glad your first month together has been so smooth.
