2010 December Daily :: 29 :: Leaving soon.

This morning Hubs and Schäfer set off for the Municipal Hospital to pick up the birth certificate… well, at least to pick up the paper which allows us to go to a government office downtown to get a birth certificate.

I don’t know what it is, but Schäfer seems so grown up and easy to take on errands. He can speak. He can use the potty. He’s practically a man.

While out, they also went by the Women and Infant’s Hospital to see if we could get our 1000 rmb deposit back. Being his usual man-of-few-words, Hubs simply told the hospital “we would not be delivering there.” After a few calls (and 30 minute wait), they gave him our deposit back. We were so thankful.

Unfortunately, this afternoon Schäfer exhibited some crazy behavior. Hubs came home and discipline was enforced. When Schäfer apologized to me he said, “Mommy, in just 3 sleeps we’ll be back in JiuJiang.” Bless his heart.

Selah – day 6

Selah is hungry.

Today also marks the last day Schäfer will ever be 3. At midnight when he got up to go potty, I was up with Selah so I decided to take a photo of Schäfer – his final three-year-old photo. Hard to imagine this boy was just as small as Selah…
