Mother’s Day 2011 :: Part 2

Since we traveled to Nanchang on Mother’s Day, I wanted to take a moment before time slipped away to take some photos with the kids. Thank you Hubs for being our patient photographer.

Celebrating Mother’s Day 2011
Schäfer 4, Sianna 23.5 months, Selah 5 months

Now this is more like it. I love these three kids! Sometimes they take me for a wild ride.

Schäfer is my true adventurer. I love how much he is learning and growing. I can daily see how Hubs and I have the most influence over him. I must watch my own words and attitude so that I can be the best example to him.

He longs to fly airplanes, go swimming and read books.

He is my big boy. He seems so self sufficient since he can speak and use the potty, but that thinking is silly. He’s only 4 and loves it when his sisters are taking an afternoon nap so that he can have a special, uninterrupted reading time with Mommy. I love it too.

Sianna is my adrenaline junkie. She loves to be tossed in the air, tickled, bounced, etc. If asked, she’ll give us a hug and a kiss. She still gets the two confused. She prefers screaming to speaking, but she always loves to laugh.

Sianna loves to dress up, wear a bracelet or high heeled shoes. She loves sunglasses and hats. More than anything, she loves her bunny.

She prefers to be carried. If we pull the Ergo out, she pants to get inside. If she could have her way, she would be carried 24/7 – both inside and outside the house. I have great arm muscles thanks to Sianna!

She is my eldest daughter. She refuses to grow up too fast. She’s just fine being 23 months. She feels no need to rush through life.

Selah is my sweet baby. I’ve forgotten just how precious the first year is. And I’ve forgotten just how fast baby’s grow and change.

She is my dream come true. She gave us a miraculous home birth and turned out to be a pro at breastfeeding.

Selah is rolling over both ways and loves to grab objects. She’ll be crawling soon… a little too soon for me.

Since we were outside, Sianna wanted to be tossed.

Of course, Schäfer wanted a turn too. He’s over 40lbs. now so I can’t quite toss him like I use to.

Of course, Selah should have a turn too.

I am thankful for my three blessings. I’ll conclude with the same questions I interviewed Schäfer with last year. I wanted to interview Sianna, but she answered “Neh. Neh.” or “Ba! Pa!” to most of them. Maybe next year!
