The drilling is officially out of control. One morning it started at 6am.
6AM!
It stops at noon and often times starts again around 1pm and continues until 5 or 6pm.
Schäfer said it best one morning during breakfast when he yelled, “It’s a drilling world!”
I did my best to keep the kids outside for 4 hours in the morning and then for another 4 hours in the afternoon, but after 2 days of missing any kind of nap my little girls were falling apart.
Hubs decided it was time to go speak with the workers. He took Selah with him as evidence. The workers agreed not to drill before 8am. They also said they would take a break from 12 – 2pm.
For a couple of days they did this, but sometimes they revert back to their old habits.

Selah would love to crawl all over the playground.

She’s starting to let go of things and stand on her own for almost 10 seconds.

During the October holiday, there was a bounce house set up in the neighborhood. For 10rmb ($1.57) he jumped for 3 hours straight.

Sianna loves to slide.

This afternoon we were playing outside and we ran into Schäfer’s old friend Yuan Yuan. I’d say he finally met his see-saw match!

Selah is such a challenge outside because she want to crawl everywhere and get into everything!

We have been faithful to keep up with the reading lessons. We’ve been doing them at night after the drilling stops.
On Friday (10.07), Schäfer complained of a stomach ache. About 3 minutes later, he was throwing up. It wasn’t surprising that Schäfer was sick. I’ve had stomach issues since we returned from the countryside.
On Saturday morning, Schäfer woke up, brought his blanket and Raffe to the living room and laid on the couch. That’s when we knew he was most definitely still sick.
Hubs had to work on Saturday and Sunday because China did one of their “extended holidays” where they granted everyone additional days off (Thursday and Friday), but then expected them to be made up on Saturday and Sunday.
Schäfer was expected to be in preschool on Saturday and Sunday, but we kept him home.
