Today was such a busy day that I didn’t see Schäfer or Hubs except maybe 1 hour.
Early this morning, Schäfer and Sianna went to Chinese school. Hubs went to work. Selah and I stayed home and cleaned, called my Mom and cleaned some more.
Selah came downstairs with her brother’s yo-yo.
While we were cleaning, I found this in the kids room. Sianna loves to play with the “Mommy triceratops and baby triceratops”.
Sianna looked at books while I washed dishes.
Then, she peeled an orange while I washed a few more dishes.
She loves talking with Nanamaw on Skype.
After talking with my Mom, I told Selah to “go downstairs and pick out a book.” Well, I got busy doing something upstairs. When I looked down, she was opening a Christmas book. I guess that’s one way to “pick out a book.”
Everyone was home for lunch.
But it was a fast lunch because Hubs had to be back at work by 1:30. Schäfer had learning center. He decorated B’s birthday gift with a space shuttle. Awesome.
Hubs took my computer with him so while the girls slept I was highly productive in our home. I finished wrapping the last of our Advent books. Then, I re-wrapped those that Selah had opened a wee bit early. Today marks 12 books down. Thirteen to go.
To say we have enjoyed opening a new book every night would be an understatement. What a delight this has been!
This afternoon, the girls played with marbles.
Sweet sisters.
Then, Sianna requested playdough.
She likes to make spaghetti.
Selah read her favorite book: The Little Drummer Boy.
Who knew it was even better upside down?
Oh Selah. Twelve more days until you are two!
From work, Hubs went into a meeting that lasted through supper. Schäfer went from learning center to a birthday party.
The guys were home at 7:15pm. Just in time to add a sticker to the chart and open Robert Frosts “Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening” – A new book that was so good we had to read it twice.
While the kids were in bed, I researched and learned that Shutterfly.com will also address and ship your cards. So now we have even more options for our Christmas card. Not that we have taken the photos or anything. Just that we have more options. (After reading the fine print, I learned that Shutterfly will address and ship your cards for an additional 99 center per card. Ouch.)
I can’t believe it’s only 13 more days till Christmas. I’m not sure where December has gone.
NOOO! How is Selah in pigtails already?!?! I hope we’ll get to see you soon, I can’t remember what your February plans are. I’ve loved your pictures though!
