This was the most wonderful Sunday.
First of all, we weren’t late for club.
Whew.
Always a risk when getting 5.5 out the door + finding a taxi.
We decided not to eat out with others after club. We came home to leftovers: chicken n’ dumplings and apple crisp.

After lunch, Hubs took some time to work out.

This piece of “exercise equipment” is a little more than I can lift at present.

Hubs didn’t seem to think 45 pounds was anything at all.
Sianna and Selah were down for naps on time.
I washed 2 loads of dishes then completed homeschool work with Schäfer.
Then, he wanted to listen to Winnie the Pooh on audiobook.
I went upstairs to find Hubs already asleep.
I joined him for the very rare, most precious Sunday afternoon nap.
At 3pm Selah promptly proclaimed “Mommy! Mommy!”

After snack time, Hubs took all three kids to the basement to install a horn on our electric motorcycle. Needless to say, the horn did not get installed. While at home, I tackled laundry, more dishes, putting away clean clothes, etc. It was so amazing not to get interrupted.
Of course, Hubs got nothing done. So he brought the kids home then went back to the basement to install the horn. The girls were wired, Schäfer was wired, and I was trying to do dishes while meeting everyone’s needs: snacks!
paint!
water!
charge the iPod!
potty!
wash hands!
more painting paper!

Selah eventually settled down to read some books (aka pull books off the shelf).

Schäfer is obsessed with the Winnie the Pooh audio book.
Eventually the dishes were done.
This evening I was invited to a ladies Christmas gathering. The kind of event with fine desserts and presents to be stolen.
I cancelled.
I love the hostess. I love the ladies.
But I turn into a pumpkin at 7:30pm thanks to baby #4. By 8pm, I start imagining ways to lay down without others noticing.
So I stayed home and that was wonderful.

Sianna came downstairs all ready for a movie with her Christmas pajamas, bunny blanket, and bunny lovie.

We watched our favorite Rick Steve’s European Christmas Special and drank hot chocolate.
The kids went to bed without a peep. Smiles on their faces and full bellies.
Hubs has planned some extravagant birthday plans for me tomorrow. I have no clue what they are. It seems to strange to leave the kids almost all day. Good, but strange.
This evening, I tried to get as much done as possible so that I can enjoy tomorrow. Well, I had great plans to get more done, but by 8pm I was ready to make my way to Dreamland.

love those productive days! & though your hubby wasn’t as productive as he was hoping, he did get a workout! love peeping in on you guys… & eager to hear about all the birthday festivities!
btw: love the family picture! we’re gonna have to work on getting some of those ourselves!
I *love* the shelving display on the wall w/ pictures. Beautiful!
