In 2004, we decided to leave San Francisco and move to China to pursue a dream. We’ve just finished four years of formal Chinese language study… but our studies are far from over as we daily hear words and see characters we have yet to learn.
Schäfer currently studies Chinese everyday too, but he doesn’t know it because he’s learning through play. Lucky guy.
This website is our way of staying connected. We post experiences from our daily encounters as Americans living in China.
