Oh the goodness that awaits.
Strawberry Yogurt Gelato by hand:
Make a batch of Greek Yogurt. Chill it until nice and cold.
In the blender, blend 1 cup of sugar until it is fine. Then add two cups strawberries (or other preferred fruit). Blend.
Mix yogurt and strawberry mixture well. Add more strawberries/sugar to taste.

In honor of Mother’s Day 2009, I went scoured the internet for a really good chocolate cake recipe. Hershey’s Deep Dark Chocolate Cake did not disappoint.
INGREDIENTS
2 cups sugar
1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup HERSHEY’S Cocoa or HERSHEY’S SPECIAL DARK Cocoa
1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1-1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt

INGREDIENTS
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
6 tablespoons cocoa
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
2/3 cup milk
2/3 cup butter (1/3 cup oil)
4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
DIRECTIONS
1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Grease 6 extra large muffin tins or 12-15 medium cups.
3. Beat the eggs with sugar, mix with flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, vanilla and milk.

This week, I was craving chocolate pudding. Hubs was in the mood to have our own little Quick Fire Challenge. We tested the Nanamaw’s tried and true recipe against How to Cook Everything’s gourmet version. I’m using the word gourmet loosely since it required vanilla beans.
After a serious taste testing, Hubs and I were unanimous.
