Flying Vulture

Happy are the parents who get to buy their son his first box of crayons! So let the scribbling begin!

Of course, we’re the type of parents who prefer “Flying Vulture” crayons to the other local brands. The packaging was too vintage to pass up.

With a name like Flying Vulture, creative possibilities are unlimited.

Unfortunately, these crayons leave more wax particles on the paper than actual color. They also seem to fall apart.

Please consider this your warning regarding all future Flying Vulture purchases. I know you were so tempted to turn in your Crayolas.

Lots of white paper, and space, I gave you water colors first on the table with paper or paper towels with patterns. Uncle Robey and my philosophy about children’s art: No colorbooks, blank paper and imagination. That’s why he had a scribble=scrabble pencil drawing, gone back over with colors and a pig “jumped out”, in his portfolio to show elementary teachers he taught at MSU what a three year old could do.
