And so we enter September

August went by entirely too fast.

We traveled to Yichang, Chengdu, Shanghai and Hong Kong. But my favorite summer days were at home.

I loved having all the kids at home too. As much as Schäfer loves preschool, I miss him terribly. It was wonderful to have him home with us in August.

We found a good rhythm to our day:
8am – 9am free play
9am – Selah goes down for her nap. Reading time!
10:30 – 11:30am Selah’s awake. free play.
11:30am computer time
12 – lunch
1 – 3 – naps for all little people. audio Bible time for Schäfer.
3 – 5:30 free play
5:30 – 7pm outside! running in the grass
7pm supper, bath, books, prayers, bed

That was our every single day. Sianna was comforted with the schedule of it all. I too found comfort in the rhythm.

As we entered September, we found ourselves traveling back from Hong Kong. I wanted to come home on the 31st because preschool started September 1st, but there were no tickets available. So we took the train home on the evening of the first.

We rode the subway from Hong Kong to Shenzhen.

We piled in my bed and ate supper on the train.

The kids watched Thomas with their new headphones. (Sianna’s ladybug ear buds don’t stay in her tiny ears so Hubs picked up some kid friendly headphones.)

On the train ride home, Sianna slept at Hubs feet. Schäfer slept in his bunk and Selah slept with Mommy.

Hello September.
